Overview of the Process of Regenerative Double Chamber Side Pool Molten Aluminum Furnace

Traditional aluminum melting furnaces are all single chamber structures, which collect feeding, heating, and melting waste aluminum materials in one chamber. The advantage is that the production equipment is simple, but the disadvantage is that the burning loss is relatively large, especially for light and thin broken waste aluminum materials, which have a large specific surface area. The oxidation burning loss of traditional single chamber aluminum melting furnaces can reach up to 20%, which is not worth the loss.

Therefore, we had developed a dual chamber aluminum melting furnace, in which a partition wall is poured in the middle of a traditional single chamber furnace. Channels are respectively opened above and below the partition wall to connect the furnace gas and aluminum liquid of the two furnaces. The middle partition wall divides the aluminum melting furnace into two chambers, which are used as heating chamber and feeding chamber respectively. The heating chamber is responsible for rapidly increasing the temperature of the aluminum liquid; The feeding room is responsible for feeding melted scrap aluminum raw materials. To achieve the circulation of aluminum liquid between the heating chamber and the feeding chamber, it is necessary to build an open melt pool outside the heating chamber and feeding chamber, behind the feeding chamber on the side of the heating chamber of the dual chamber aluminum melting furnace, install an aluminum liquid mechanical pump, and connect the heating chamber and feeding chamber. Bulk and strip-shaped scrap aluminum raw materials with larger particles can be fed normally by opening the furnace door from the feeding room with a forklift; Thin and broken scrap aluminum raw materials are continuously and automatically transported into the feeding vortex well through scrap aluminum delivery and preheating equipment. With the power of the aluminum liquid mechanical pump, high-temperature aluminum liquid is extracted from the heating chamber, passes through the mechanical mixing well, enters the feeding vortex well, melts the thin and broken waste aluminum raw materials, becomes low-temperature aluminum liquid, and then enters the feeding chamber to melt the coarse waste aluminum raw materials in the feeding chamber, flows back into the heating chamber, and heats up again, thus completing the cycle of high-temperature aluminum liquid melting waste aluminum raw materials, realizing the process of melting thin and light waste aluminum raw materials without open flames, greatly reducing the oxidation and burning loss of waste aluminum raw materials, and improving the yield of waste aluminum. Therefore, for customers who use lightweight and broken scrap aluminum raw materials, most of them adopt the dual chamber side pool aluminum melting furnace technology process route.
